LINK Korund loudspeaker cable |
Many years standing empirical
research brought us closer to the realisation of the ultimate loudspeaker cable.
In the quest for maximum transparency we began investigating every aspect of the
reproduction chain and finally arrived at the loudspeaker cable. We regard it as
playing a very important role between amplifier and the loudspeaker that it
drives.
Most manufacturers still use the
classic parameters as the lead for the design of a new cable: low resistance and
low capacitance as the main target.
We also followed this rule in the
beginning of our tests.
In a first stage we put almost every conductive cable into the reproduction
chain and listened carefully to the result. In this phase, judgement was only
performed through listening. Slowly, some first conclusions were made and more
and more one of the cables grew out as a reference. Each new cable was weighted
against this new reference.
Finally, from these experiments
the Korund was developed. It was clearly now what the ideal parameters of the
perfect loudspeaker cable should look like.
In the last step we tried to find
a correlation between the empirical research, wich mostly was based on listening
tests and the classic measurement methods. The conclusion was astonishing. First
of all, we found an immediate relation between our classification, based on
listening tests and musical qualities of the cables, and the measurements.
Soon
we had to conclude that the parameters of our best cable were more or less
opposite as what is generally regarded as ideal.
The LINK Korund loudspeaker cable gives a total new dash to musical
reproduction. Its absolute respect for the original pulse makes it totally
transparent with a seldom-heard fluidity. Everything seams so self evident, so
free of any stress and with a very precise spatial distribution of the
information.
